Return to the workbench: finish with a clear next step

The reset should make the next preparation simpler, not larger.

Inspect while you remember

Follow the manufacturer’s care instructions and record issues before storing the kit. Keep used items separate until dealt with. A small note made now is more reliable than hoping to recall the problem when the next outing is already beginning.

Remove the unnecessary

Review items that had no clear role. Before replacing or adding something, identify the task it serves. The collection should not grow only because another setup looked attractive. Familiarity and an understandable arrangement matter more than a long equipment list.

Leave a practical note

Record one thing to check next time and the relevant source. Do not reconstruct precise measurements from memory. A prepared workbench becomes useful through these small repeated decisions, including after ordinary trips that produce no notable photograph or catch.
